Soowook has been named a state finalist for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching! PAEMST is considered the “nation’s highest honors for teachers of mathematics and science.”

“Awardees serve as models for their colleagues, inspiration to their communities, and leaders in the improvement of mathematics and science education,” according to the PAEMST website.

Awardees will be announced spring of 2014. What a way to start off the school year!
